Smile Makeover: Case 2: Grain Valley, MO

Mary had devoted herself to raising her family… This wonderful mother said: “It is finally time to take care of my needs and desires. I want a beautiful smile!”. This cosmetic and restorative “Smile Makeover” truly changed our patients life. Before she was afraid to smile and embarrassed by her oral condition. Missing, drifting and misaligned teeth also had a bad effect of her ability to speak and chew. Dr. Turner worked closely with his team and his dental laboratory to develop a Comprehensive Treatment Plan to restore this difficult case. Initially Mary was not aware that she could get rid of her old removable partial denture and replace it with a beautiful all-ceramic fixed permanent bridge. Notice that Dr. Turner had his laboratory add gum colored pink porcelain to the area above the upper front teeth. This is done to fill in bony defects and helps to avoid the need for gum/bone surgery. This high level cosmetic technique can really accelerate the treatment time and provide excellent results! Full coverage and zirconia porcelain crowns were placed on other teeth to restore full function and give our patient a fantastic smile. Sometimes full-mouth restorations are performed to improve the ability to speak and eat…but you can’t deny that the cosmetic results are equally fabulous.
